Minutes of Executive Board Meeting
F.L.E.T.C. Glynco, Georgia
March 10, 1983

An Executive Board Meeting was held at the Federal Enforcement Training Center, Glynco, Georgia, on March 10, 1983.  The following individuals attending this board meeting which opened at 11:45 a.m.

James Wallace – President
Archie Rose – First Vice President
Louie Frauso – Second Vice President
Bill Williams – Treasurer
Jim Harris – Secretary

Topics of Discussion

A.  Executive Board discussed changing several of the State Representatives who had failed to pay dues within the last several years.

B.  Motion was made by President Wallace to have printed up Certificates of Appreciation to be given out by N.D.E.O.A. for deserving individuals who have supported the Association.  Motion was seconded by Bill Williams.

C.  Discussion was conducted on Association Newsletter to go out in May with all the information needed concerning the Conference.

D.  Discussion was conducted in regards to a private sector letter on available training as to where, when, cost, and topics covered for security personnel.  A $320.00 fee for training was decided upon.  If no more than twenty-five (25) people were scheduled for classes, then the class would be held with a maximum of forty-five (45) allowed in the class.  Letter to be sent out by President Wallace on the above security program, this letter to go out by March 20, 1983 from Louie Frausto.

E.  A motion was made by Treasurer Bill Williams to have a Certificate of Training for non-members printed up.  Printing to be handled by President Wallace.  This motion was seconded and carried by the Executive Board.

G.  Motion was made by Archie Rose that Louie Frausto proceed on with the training program for security officers and that he be allowed to open a bank account in regards to funds coming in for this training program.  Motion seconded and carried by the Executive Board.

H.  Discussion was conducted in regards to sending a letter to Mr. Tom Dial, of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, thanking him for his support at last years Conference.

I.  Discussed sending a letter of appreciation for all the past help given to the Association by Cecilia Petree.  Motion was made by Louie Frausto and seconded by Bill Williams with this letter to be sent to Mr. Jerry Jensen, Head of D.E.A. Training.

J.  Louie Frausto discussed a proposal made by two (2) retired Police Officers offering an indoor Pistol range for use in regards to the training course being put on at the Conference.  Cost to Association would be $5.00 for each member with the New Mexico State Police furnishing the ammunition.

K.  Louie Frausto discussed whether or not it would be permissible to not charge committee member for sitting in on training sessions at the Conference.  A decision was made at this time by the Executive Board that we not charge these people who attend these training sessions.

L.  Prices were discussed as to the breakfast and banquet food cost.  In Addition, prices were discussed as to the breakfast and banquet food cost.  In Addition, prices of $4.00 each for t-shirts and $4.50 for hats was decided upon.  These were set as tentative at this time.
