Conference 2004 Business Meeting

Meeting called to order by President Pat Pope at 11:00 am

Rick Kirk appointed Sgt. at Arms by President Pat Pope

Roll call by Secretary Sam Owens; 70 members present. 134 members registered at the conference. A quorum was met.

Reading of the previous minutes was waived.

Old Business:

2005 Conference site discussion:
Alberquerque / Lack of local Law Enforcement support
New Orleans / Marriott $93 per day $24 / day for parking
Savannah / $93 per day $15/ day for parking

Continued discussion exploring the possibility of combining DEA’s advanced TFO training with next year’s conference. DEA will consider. A motion was made by Randy Johnson to have the Executive Board to determine next year’s Conference site. The motion carried allowing the Executive Board to select next year’s conference site.
A non-binding vote by the membership was taken on two of the suggested sites.

New Orleans, Louisiana 23 votes
Savannah, Georgia 67 votes

New Business:

Conference critique forms were given to the membership for completion.

President Pat Pope announced that Fergueson Harbour has agreed to become a corporate sponsor and donate $2,500.00 to the association.
