Conference 2004 Business Meeting

Tuesday, July 27, 2004

 

 

Meeting called to order at 5:00 pm by President Pat Pope.

Jim Alexander appointed Sgt. at Arms by President Pat Pope.

Roll call by Secretary Sam Owens; 47 members present. 134 members registered at the conference. The quorum was met.

Reading of the previous minutes was waived.

Old Business:

Treasurer’s Report tabled again, will be heard on Wednesday.

President Pat Pope turned floor over to Election Committee chairman, Bob Dintino.
Chairman Dintino reported that the Election Committee received no further nominations for any position on the Executive Board. Chairman Dintino entertained a motion that the nominees be accepted by acclamation. The motion was carried by the membership.

President Pope opened up discussion on proposed amendment to the Association’s Constitution and By Laws.

Following the discussion, the membership voted to amend Section 68gf paragraph 3 of the By Laws to read:


New Business:

President reported that two NDEOA Active members were requesting Life-Time membership status. The membership granted Life-Time membership to Jim Alexander and Ron Cantonese.

President Pope reported on meeting between NDEAO Executive Board and DEA Training Division(Dan Salter, Michael Root and Cindy Schultz). President Pope advised that the Association continues to have the full support of the DEA Office of Training. DEA is favorable to combining our conference with their Advanced TFO training at next year’s conference.

Tim Lane advised that he would bring (50) attendees to next year’s conference.

Meeting adjourned by President Pope at 5:40 pm.
