Conference 2004 Business Minutes

Monday, July 26, 2004

 

Meeting called to order at 5:13 pm by President Pat Pope

Craig Shows appointed Sgt. at Arms by President Pat Pope.

Roll call by Secretary Sam Owens; 34 members present. 134 members registered at the conference. The quorum was met.

Reading of the previous minutes was waived.

Treasurer’s Report will be given at next Business Meeting

President Pat Pope appointed an Audit Committee:

Jim Alexander
Randy Johnson
Randall Robbins

President Pope appointed an Election Committee: Chairman Bob Dintino: Chris Loposser and Debbie Burnham.
Chairman Bob Dintino opened the floor for nominations to the 2004-2005 Executive Board. The following nominations were made:

President Pat Pope
1st Vice-President Paul Stevens
2nd Vice-President George Hood
Secretary Sam Owens
Treasurer Steve Peterson

Nominations may be made, in writing, to any member of the Election Committee until Noon tomorrow.

Proposed amendment to Association Constitution and By Laws was tabled until tomorrow’s Business Meeting.

President Pope opened up discussion to the membership the possibility of moving Conference date to an earlier time in the year to accommodate DEA. No decision was made.

Bob Dintino suggested combining DEA’s Task Force Officer’s Training with NDEOA’s Conference to help with membership retention and overall Conference attendance.
President advised that the Executive Board would discuss option with DEA.
